Terms & Conditions


These terms and conditions relate to sales over the Internet only. Separate terms and conditions apply to purchases made directly from our stores.

1. Payment

Full payment will be required at time of order unless otherwise stated or agreed, payments are accepted by valid Debit/Credit cards as well as SagePay Payments.
 
2. Delivery

Please see the separate Delivery Information tab.

 3. Split deliveries

Where you have selected multiple products from us then we may need to make more than one delivery to you.

Where this is necessary we will not charge for the additional delivery.
 
4. Delivery dates

All delivery dates quoted at the time of your order are estimates. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that we honour estimated delivery dates, it is possible that circumstances beyond our control may cause delivery dates to be changed.
 
5. Storage

You will be pleased to know that we are able to store your products for as long as you need us to in our warehouse facilities. Simply, make us aware at the time of purchase and we will ensure that the products are stored and then delivered when is convenient to you.
 
6. Disposal

We can arrange for the disposal of your old items if you are with a 25 mile radius of our Showroom. There will be a reasonable nominal charge for this service (please call to discuss), with all re-useable appliances going to a local charity organisation that we have a long-standing relationship with.

7. Colours and finishes

Photographs displayed on our website and display models and samples in our stores are representative of the finished product. Whilst every effort will be made to match all colours and finishes, goods are supplied on the understanding that there may be slight dye, shade and grain variations, particularly with natural products such as wood. Leather products are made from quality hides and may not be uniform in colour or texture and will show natural marks and scars for this range. These colours will be affected by your monitor and by your printer and therefore may not be 100% accurate to the finished product. Exact colour swatches can be seen in store.
 
8. Size and description of product

All sizes quoted are approximate. Size and product descriptions are given in good faith from our suppliers' information. Products are manufactured to perform within the appropriate industry measurement tolerances.
 
9. Variation in product specification

Due to the shortage of certain new raw materials, changes in legislation or safety requirements some products supplied by the Company may have minor technical alterations and could differ slightly in actual construction from the goods shown in sample or pattern form. The Company state any changes that are made will result in a performance of an equally high or improved standard. The quality coding will remain the same and the quality guarantee will continue to apply.
 
10.  Guarantee

All goods supplied are guaranteed by the manufacturer for a minimum period of 12 months from date of delivery in respect of faulty workmanship or materials. Improper use or unreasonable use is not covered by the manufacturers. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
 
11.  Extended warranties

These may be purchased separately to further protect your investment. Your nearest Store will supply further details on request.
 
12.  General care

The product(s) supplied are to be used for the purpose and in the manner for which they were designed. Most manufacturers include care and maintenance advice with their products, which should be read and followed. No responsibility will be accepted for damage caused by cleaning if the care and maintenance instructions have not been followed.
 
13.  Amending or cancelling your order WITHIN 7 days of placing your order

We will offer a refund or replacement if you change your mind for any reason within 7 days of placing your order with us. (Unless the item has already been dispatched you may be charged for the return postage).
 
14.  Cancelling your order AFTER 7 days of placing your order

Made to Order Products

Made to order products, such as sofas, mattresses and items which have been produced specifically for you, have no refunds or exchanges after 7 days of placing your order unless there is an error on our part regarding the product specification, or the item is found to be faulty.
 
All Other Products

For products ordered over the Internet, you have the right to cancel orders on products that are not made to order by notifying us in writing (including email) before delivery or receiving the goods.
 
If you cancel your order once it has been delivered, you must not use the goods, must take care of them, and must make them available to us when we call to collect them on the date we will agree with you. You can also arrange for the return of products directly to us, for which you will absorb the cost of the return.  If we arrange for collection of the goods, this will be charged at the cost levied by the carrier.

We will refund the cost of the items ordered within 14 days following the return of goods. The cost of delivery will not be refunded, although we may offer free delivery on some items, the minimum cost of delivery is £10 Per Parcel products which are not delivered free will have a fixed delivery charge which will be payable.  (Some post codes differ where delivery surcharges apply)
 
Please ensure that the goods are maintained in a saleable condition and in their original packaging.   
 
If you do not comply with your obligations above, we will not be able to carry out the refund or we may make a reasonable charge to cover any costs that we incur (for example in respect of wasted collection journeys or goods that you have damaged or lost). Your statutory rights are not affected.
 
Exceptions to this policy

The Cancellation and Refund policy described above will stand unless:

      We have not followed your instructions clearly
    *
      Product is found to be faulty
    *
      Order has been delayed by more than 5 weeks after the lead time quoted

Refunds will be made via our Head Office asap.
 
15.  Cancellations by World Electricals Direct

We reserve the right not to accept an order if:

    *
      We do not have the stock to fulfill the order
    *
      If we are unable to deliver the product to your area
    *
      If an item was incorrectly priced or described on the web site
    *
      If your payment was not authorised
    *
      If you have not complied with our terms and conditions of sale

If an order is cancelled by us, any payments made to us will be refunded asap.

 
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.


If you have any doubts about your statutory rights please contact your local Trading Standards department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
 
By using or accessing this website and/or placing any order(s), you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. All other terms and conditions, including those that may be proposed any order submitted by  you, are expressly excluded and shall have no effect.
 
Receipt by World Electricals of an order via our website does not constitute legal acceptance of an order. Your order will be deemed to have been accepted by us only once you have received written confirmation of our acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse your order for any reason we see fit.
